International cooperation
International project and programs involvement:
-
ACTRIS-2 (Aerosol, Clouds and Trace Gases Research Infrastructure Network)
Main goal:Improve the systematic and timely collection, processing and distribution of data and results for use in modelling, in particular towards the implementation of atmospheric and climate services. ACTRIS-2 invests substantial efforts to ensure longterm sustainability beyond the term of the project by positioning the project in both the GEO and the on-going ESFRI contexts, and by developing synergies with national initiatives. ACTRIS-2 takes up the overarching objectives of ACTRIS to further integrate the European ground-based stations and to construct a user-oriented RI, unique in the EU-RI landscape, for aerosols, clouds, and short-lived gas-phase species.
-
EMEP (European Monitoring and Evaluation Programme) – pod záštitou CLRTAP(Convention on Long-Range Transboundary Air Pollution)
Main goal: Present reliable scientific evidence to support, develop and evaluate environmental protection policies. The current monitoring strategy places more emphasis on the impact of predicted climate changes on air quality and on greenhouse gas monitoring, and reflects developments in monitoring technologies and the integration of measurements from different platforms (ground measurements, vertical profiles, flight, distance and satellite measurements).
- ICP-IM (International Cooperative Programme on Integrated Monitoring of Air Pollution Effects on Ecosystems) – under the auspices of CLRTAP (Convention on Long-Range Transboundary Air Pollution) Main goal: The integrated monitoring of ecosystems refers to the simultaneous measurement of physical, chemical and biological properties of an ecosystem over time and across compartments at the same location.
-
GAW (Global Atmosphere Watch)
Main goal: To connect and cover activities in the field of research and monitoring of the atmosphere with the aim of expanding the knowledge of the influence of human activity on global changes in the atmosphere and climate changes.
